The Emergency Room Team
The team at Medical Center of McKinney works to get you diagnosed from the minute you walk in the door. We have 25 beds and 17 emergency medicine physicians on staff available to treat the severest of injuries and illnesses.
Through our Emergency Department we offer:
- Emergency care 24/7
- Assessment and treatment for people of all ages
- Board-certified or board eligible emergency physicians
- Specially trained nurses
- Primary Stroke Center
- Chest Pain Center
Primary Stroke Center
Medical Center of McKinney is a Primary Stroke Center accredited by The Joint Commission and has achieved Gold Standard Plus recognition from the AHA / ASA for its stroke care. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization, which accredits and certifies more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States.
Chest Pain Center
Medical Center of McKinney has received recognition as an Accredited Chest Pain Center (CPC) by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU)
The CDU is a place where emergency patients receive careful observation for up to 23 hours. Patients admitted to the CDU can receive further monitoring, diagnostic procedures, and nursing care.
